French Dining - Our Favourite Spots
There are a range of Michelin star restaurants within easy reach of the Mas. If you're happy to drive 40 minutes to St Paul de Vence, one of our favourite dining spots is La Colombe D'or. Famous for both its amazing art collection and stunning food, it's a great spot for a long lunch and some celebrity spotting. The village of St Paul de Vence is a beautiful stone village, a nice place to stroll around after your lunch, making it a great day trip from the Mas.
Another favourite which is closer to the Mas is Le Clos St Pierre, it's a 15 minute drive to the village of Le Rouret, and has a Michelin star. They offer both a restaurant and bistro option, we highly recommend the restaurant option as the Chef knocks out an amazing degustation menu, but be sure to go hungry! This is better suited for an evening meal. For either of these restaurants, book well ahead as they can get booked up months in advance, particularly in the summer.
If you're looking for something a little more casual that will cater to all generations, Valbonne square offers a great variety of options and is a wonderful atmosphere to have a meal, or a pre dinner apertif and simply watch life go by.
And finally - if you'd like a long lunch by the beach we recommend Plage Keller. Excellent food in a stunning location, and after a long lunch you can rent a sun lounger to watch the super yachts sail by. Great for lunch, dinner or just sun-downers in the sand.

- Nice - A fantastic promenade, and some of the Mediterraneans best water - so clean, so blue and so refreshing. There are some fantastic restaurants right on the beach that offer sun loungers and day beds for rent. If you do go to Nice, the Monday antiques market is a must see, some great collectors items up for sale. This is a 30 minute drive from the Mas.
- Cannes - Famous for being 'Cannes' it offers some great people watching, either stroll along the Marina, or simply chill out on the beach. OK Beach Club is a great place for lunch at the beach, with access to the water so you can swim between courses. Also a 30 minute drive from the Mas.
- St Tropez - This is a longer drive from the Mas (just under 2 hours), but a great day trip. St Tropez village is a gorgeous beach village, a stunning place to stroll around. If you want some beach time nearby head to Pamplona beach, a fantastic sandy beach with some cool beach clubs. Club 55 is always fun, if not just for the people watching.
- Theole sur Mer - A gorgeous local beach, 35 minutes from the Mas and offering a lovely sandy beach, some great restaurant options and you won't be bumping into tourists here (they tend to stay around Nice and Cannes).
- Beaulieu sur Mer - One of the most photographed beaches on the Riviera, you'll recognise the famous view as you drive in. 40 minutes from the Mas, crystal blue water.
- Cap D'Antibes - Uber cool, with some uber cool beach clubs. Another place to 'see' and 'be seen'. A 30 minute drive from the Mas.
- Antibes - Also a 30 minute drive from the Mas, a wonderful sandy beach, and they have great markets every morning - get there early for the best produce!
- Juan les Pins - one of the Riviera's more famous beaches, a fun atmosphere but get there early in summer if you intend to park!
